There have been many firsts in the life of Dr. Monoseta C. Burwell:

First female pharmaceutical sales representative for Winthrop Laboratories in Michigan

First female Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon in Pennsylvania—18th female in the country and she was subsequently featured in an hour television

documentary on four women health professionals entitled “A Better Place.”

Dr. Burwell graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency and an Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. One of the best things about Pittsburgh was that is where she met and married her husband of 31 years.

Dr. Burwell later returned to her roots in Michigan and now has a busy General Dental practice, not limited to her specialty, in a recently constructed (2008), state-of-the-art office in Lathrup Village, Michigan. She and her husband have a wonderful daughter, Chera M. Burwell.

In the year 2000, God called, and Dr. Burwell answered. That same year, she attended Word of Faith School of Ministry. In 2002 she graduated Summa cum Laude.

Dr. Burwell is the Co-founder of Light of the World Christian Center (2002) in West Bloomfield, Michigan where her husband Bruce D. Burwell is Senior Pastor. Because of their relationship with the Potter’s House International Pastoral Alliance, she has also been ordained and licensed by Bishop TD Jakes.

Dr. Burwell is a gifted psalmist and uses her voice only for God.

She is also the author of the book

“Escape To God—The Believer’s Handbook.”

Most important to Dr. Burwell, after everything is said and done, is that she is saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She follows the Lord’s instructions according Matthew 28:19-20—“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
